Your annual gas costs over the entire year to gain better control over your budget. Join our growing number of budget customers who handle their energy costs the easy way.

Join the Budget Payment Plan

Being a Budget Payment Plan Customer does not reduce your annual bill, but by spreading your costs evenly over the year it makes it easier to manage your budget and reduces your payments during the winter when bills are generally highest.

The Budget Payment Plan begins in August. If you are already a Budget customer, the next month's bill will show the Budget amount you need to pay to automatically continue on the plan. For those who are currently not on the Budget Payment Plan but would like to join, simply contact your local Delta office by the due date on your August bill and we will calculate your Budget amount for you. Your Budget amount will then be reflected on your next month's bill confirming your enrollment in the Budget Payment Plan.

Adjustments may be made during the year due to the weather or gas cost changes. At the end of the Budget year in July, any balances will be rolled over into next year's Budget calculation. It's that simple - so join the growing number of customers who handle their energy costs the easy way.

Automatic Payment Services

How does the Automatic Payment Service work?

You will receive a bill showing the amount due and the due date. The amount of the bill will be automatically deducted from your bank account on the due date unless the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case the amount due will be deducted on the first business day following the due date. Your bill will still show the gas consumed, the beginning and ending dates of the billing period and all the other information that a normal bill shows.

How will I know when the bill has been paid?

Your bank statement will reflect the payment as a debit. It will be reflected as "Auto Pmt - Delta Gas". If your account is with a credit union, different wording may be used.

What if I disagree with the amount of my bill?

If you dispute the amount of your bill, contact your local office.

What happens if there isn't enough money in the account?

Because we allow enough days between the billing date and the due date, you have ample time to prevent that from happening. If it does happen however, your bank will treat it like an "insufficient funds" check, and we will notify you that the amount is still due.

Can I resume paying my bills the regular way?

Upon customer notification, the automatic payment service will be stopped and the normal payment process will resume with the next billing.

How do I sign up?

First, fill out the form on the back. Then, depending on whether your payment is to be deducted from your checking or savings account, attach a voided check or deposit ticket and either mail it along with your gas bill or mail it separately to your local office.

Keep in mind that it takes time to process your bank authorization before automatic payment can begin. Please continue to pay your bill as before until you receive a bill that indicates that payment will be deducted automatically.
